He draws a breath....... then he's.....Wailin...............to the delight of his audience....

The pup had been enjoying a nap until the brass got closer, and then even more closer......and then...........

Even other species appreciate the Jeff's music enough to secure front row center seats.........

Jeff says.......Allen has the ability to add so much character, color and dimension to any tune he plays. His sense of time is impeccable, and he always knows what to play and just when to play it. He is also one of the most dynamic soloists I've ever heard. Whether we are playing the blues, a soaring ballad or acid jazz he can raise the intensity of the song, and the band to the highest level. This is why so many groups such as: Hiroshima, Bobby Caldwell, Dan Siegel, Roberta Flack, The Crusaders and Randy Crawford have used Allen on their tours. Allen is also a talented composer. This year he has written songs for Larry Carlton and Patti Austin. You can hear one of his compositions, 'Best Of Times,' on my new CD as well. When Allen is not touring or recording you can find him on the tennis courts. When we are going over the details of an upcoming gig, most guys ask about flights, transportation, etc. -- Allen asks if there are tennis courts nearby. He's addicted to tennis!

Allen Hinds in quiet pause while Jeff narrates the story behind the next tune.

Jeff Kashiwa started playing clarinet at age ten. He remembers, only two years later the impact of seeing the saxophone used in a jazz setting and knew at once that it was his instrument. "I switched to the sax at that point and it was like a magnet for me. I couldn't wait to get into a situation where I could play it."

The son of a Chicago big band conductor and arranger Miramar Recordings
artist Tom Saviano's appreciation for jazz, classical music and arrangements
was born of a constant exposure to sophisticated musicians and music.
A gifted jazz saxophonist, keyboard player, composer and lyricist,
Saviano's sophomore solo smooth jazz album, Crossings, reunites the artist with
some of his favorite players, including Bill Champlin, Brian Bromberg, Lenny Castro,
Thom Rotella, Vinnie Colaiuta and Jeff Golub, among others.
